A paid app for Apple platforms, sold exclusively on the App Store as a one-time purchase. Verify the store and product details before buying.
U.S. App Store reference price. Prices appear in local currency in other storefronts; check the App Store page for the actual price.
Store and account region
Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which App Store you see—not your device’s current location or system language. If Shadowrocket doesn’t appear in search results, check the store region first; don’t choose another app based only on a similar name. The button on this page links to the U.S. product page, but access may still depend on your current store account and device compatibility.
Check the region in Settings
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then go to Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Complete any requested authentication and review the current region details. This is the store account setting. If other Apple services on your device use a different account, check the account shown under Media & Purchases.
If you need to change the region, go to Change Country or Region on the same page. Review the listed requirements before proceeding. Your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing status, and payment details may affect the process. This guide points out the system setting but can’t guarantee a change will be possible. Address the specific system prompts; don’t repeatedly switch regions or retry payments just to find the app.
Once you’ve confirmed the app is available in your current storefront, check the product page for its name, developer, and compatibility details. If the store says it isn’t currently available in your region, follow that message. Changing your device language won’t affect the app’s availability. This is the official Shadowrocket manual; the steps below are based on what the App Store and your device actually show.
Verify the product, then check the interface
Three checks to verify Shadowrocket
The name is only a starting point. The developer, official icon, and app ID must all match.
Shadowrocket
A blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background
Developer: check the full name
Check the developer details on the App Store product page. The full name should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely only on the app title in search results, or confirm a purchase just because an icon looks similar. If the name is abbreviated, spelled differently, or lists another developer, return to the product page linked here and check again.
Official icon: compare with the same artwork
Compare with the official icon in this section: a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background. Use the icon as one clue, not as a substitute for checking the developer and app ID. Search results may include similarly named apps, and descriptions may use nicknames; always verify each detail on the product page before buying.
App ID: check the end of the link
The specified product link ends in id932747118; the app ID is 932747118. Check this part in the browser address bar or product share link to distinguish it from products with a similar name or appearance. Once all three details match, review the price and compatibility. Don’t use ratings or search rankings as substitutes for verification.
The two screenshots on the right are official App Store screenshots uploaded by the developer. They show the main Home and Add Server areas. The app may look different on your device depending on its language and layout. Screenshots are neither proof of purchase nor a live status; verify the product using the three App Store details instead.
DEVICE GUIDE / 01
Get Shadowrocket on iPhone and open it for the first time
Open the App Store product page from this guide on your iPhone and verify the app before buying. Follow the displayed price or tap the redownload icon if you’ve already purchased it. The system handles purchase confirmation, payment methods, and authentication. Check the App Store page for system requirements. Expand Compatibility before buying to confirm your device is supported; don’t rely on system versions listed in older guides.
After opening the app, start with Home. Not Connected at the top means no connection is active. Global Routing shows the current traffic-handling mode. Connectivity Test checks whether an existing server is reachable, and the SERVER section lists items you’ve added. An empty list means you still need to import your own subscription or server details; it doesn’t mean the purchase failed.
The first time you start a connection, the system will ask to add a VPN configuration. Confirm the prompt was triggered by Shadowrocket, then follow the system instructions to allow it and authenticate with your device passcode or biometric. This permission lets the app establish a system network connection; it does not provide a server address, authentication details, or subscription. If you dismissed the prompt, start a connection again in the app and follow the instructions.
Check installation and network access separately. First, confirm your own server appears in Home. Then make sure Global Routing matches your configuration needs, and turn on the connection. Once a connection status appears, test a service you need to use. If it doesn’t work as expected, save your current configuration and follow the Troubleshooting guide step by step. Don’t assume a connection failure means the App Store purchase failed.
For step-by-step import instructions, read the Shadowrocket setup guide. Tutorial labels such as Home, Add Server, and Config match the app interface. Have your own valid details ready before importing. When editing fields, refer to the original information, especially the server address, port, authentication details, and transport settings. Don’t fill in fields based on a screenshot.
DEVICE GUIDE / 02
Install on iPad and use on other Apple devices
Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. If you bought it using the same Apple ID, find it in the App Store’s purchased items on your other device and download it again. “Same account” means the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases when you bought the app. Using the same Apple account for other services doesn’t necessarily mean the store is signed in to that account.
The iPad’s larger screen may change how lists and settings are arranged compared with iPhone screenshots. Look for the same interface labels, such as Home, Config, and Settings; don’t rely on a button’s position near the edge of the screen. Check the App Store page for system requirements and universal purchase eligibility, and confirm compatibility with your iPad before proceeding.
After downloading the app, check whether the configurations you need are already on your iPad. A purchase record lets you download the app again, but it doesn’t guarantee that subscriptions, servers, rule selections, or connection status have synced from another device. If details are missing, import your saved information. If they’re present, check the selected item before starting a connection and responding to the VPN configuration prompt on that device.
Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision
The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Get the app only through the App Store. Check that page for universal purchase eligibility and system requirements. Controls and layouts vary across devices, so don’t assume the iPhone touch instructions in this guide apply directly to other devices.
Before buying, check the product page’s compatibility and purchase status on the device you plan to use. A device appearing in the compatibility list doesn’t mean your personal configuration will automatically appear on every device. Check app availability, purchase eligibility, and configuration transfer separately. For connections that rely on existing services, use your own valid server details and configuration.
Restore purchase history and configuration separately
New device, reinstall, and restore purchases
After switching iPhones, restoring a device, or reinstalling the app, open the App Store, tap your account picture, and go to Purchased. Depending on your system version, app history may appear under Apps or My Apps. Find the app you previously downloaded. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, search for Shadowrocket, verify the developer, and tap the redownload icon. You usually won’t need to pay again.
- First, check that the account under Media & Purchases is the one used for the original purchase.
- Look for Shadowrocket in your App Store purchase history instead of relying only on search results.
- After installation, import your own subscription or server details, check the configuration, then authorize and test the connection.
If the product page still shows a price, don’t confirm another purchase right away. Check the account and purchase history, then check the current store region and app availability. Restoring a device from backup doesn’t mean the App Store is signed in to the original account. If the system reports a payment or account issue, address that prompt first. Confirm the purchase record matches the current account before deciding what to do next.
Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are separate steps. You can redownload the client, but server details, subscription URLs, custom rules, and selections from your old device need to be checked separately. Save your own configuration before moving devices. After the move, review what’s already there before importing anything, so you don’t overwrite settings you still need. Use your own valid link to update a subscription.
For Family Sharing, check the guidance on the App Store page and in Family settings. Availability, eligibility for family members, and any restrictions depend on the page details and system prompts. Don’t assume the restore process for the purchasing account also grants access to family members. An App Store purchase record also doesn’t change the term of any existing service.
What the app purchase covers
Shadowrocket price and one-time purchase
Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app sold as a one-time purchase. The U.S. price is about $2.99; other storefronts show local prices, and the actual amount is shown on the App Store purchase confirmation screen. The app itself isn’t billed monthly. Don’t confuse renewal fees for your existing services with a monthly app charge.
The App Store handles price display, payment verification, and purchase history. Before buying, review the app name, amount, and account on the confirmation screen. Prices in other regions may differ from the U.S. dollar amount; a matching price doesn’t verify authenticity. Check the developer, official icon, and app ID instead.
After buying the app, Home may not show any servers yet. This means you need to add a configuration; the app doesn’t automatically provide a service. After importing your own details, whether the connection works depends on server availability, authentication fields, rule selection, and network conditions. A completed purchase alone doesn’t confirm that these requirements are met.
App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the product page’s update history and system update notifications before deciding when to update; this guide doesn’t use a specific version or date as a basis for buying. Updating the app and updating an existing subscription are separate actions: the store handles the former, while the latter requires your own valid details in the app.
If you have a question about a charge on your statement, first check the item, amount, and date in your App Store purchase history, then compare it separately with records for your other services. For payment or refund issues, use the support options available through your system account and purchase history. The outcome depends on the actual review. Don’t buy the app again because of a connection problem before checking your records.
